Roofing Stirling Help Us This Winter
This winter has already proved challenging to UK residents, with some big storms already battered the UK over the last few weeks, not to mention the growing threat of the Corona Virus on our door step. With they storm cycles showing no sign of letting up, we are in storm for a few more before the winter is over. During one particular storm, Townley School took quite a beating, with some damage being done to the roof of one of the gym buildings. These events caused us quite a lot of disruption, and took a fair bit of time and money to get it all sorted out. We wanted to share our experience of roofing Stirling installed to help us get our roof issues under control.

What Roofing Stirling Did For Us
When we came in one morning to find our gymnasium half flooded and water dripping in from the roof, we did what most people usually do. Panic, get a bucket, and call the janitor, not necessarily in that order. Our school janitor was able to scramble onto the roof for a better look, but upon his return he said that it was bad news, the felt on the sloped roof has separated at a seam and would need specialist attention and equipment. It was not often that Andy our school janitor was stumped by a problem, so we knew it must be serious and took to finding a roof repair specialist right away. Thankfully Glasgow Roofing Services responded right away, and with a brief description of the problem provided by Andy, the team were able to head down right away and tackle the problem.

Fixing Roofs is Child’s Play
For the team at Sterling, out problem was as routine as any other roof fix. Thankfully by the time they arrived the weather had decided to let up somewhat, so there was no rain and only moderate rains to keep them on their toes up on our roof. Truth be told, our gymnasium roof was quite high, and we watched anxiously as the team of roofers clambered up ladders and onto the roof to attend to the repair. They worked away for around half a day, before coming back down to perform a waterproof test on it. We were delighted when no water was to be seen on the inside of the building, and the roof repair was declared a great success.

UK Weather
We wanted to finish by making a few points and giving our advice that we have learned. Throughout this experience, we have learned that you should never underestimate the weather, and remember that the roofs of any building go through a lot, and problems can spring up at any time. The expert team at Sterling could not have been more helpful, and offered us some great roofing advice for the future so that we do no get caught out again. Roofs are one of these things that people tend to take for granted, but our best advice is make sure that your roof is in good condition before winter arrives.
